As a brigadier general in the Revolutionary army, his troops drove Lord Dunmore from Virginia in July 1776, but he resigned his commission in 1777. Testimonials

“When skiing at Snowshoe Mountain, I always choose to stay at the Jerico. Being around the crowds all day, it is so nice to go back to the quietness of the B&B. I have been staying at the B&B for several years during ski season. The Jerico is pretty perfect! Its in a very nice country setting. The owners are kind and make sure vacationers are taken care of. Can’t beat the hospitality! The food is really good, and I look forward to the big home made breakfast that they have. My favorite room is room 4. There is also a hot tub at the Main House for guests to sit back and relax and with the soft lights surrounding the porch you can watch the deer eat the corn in the snow.

My favorite cabin is the Yank. It has its own private out door hot tub and there is a stream next to it. There are some mornings were you may be greeted by the cows at the fence with curious faces. The rates are much lower than Snowshoe Resort I look forward to my return each year and would highly recommend the Jerico to anyone.”
